Strengthening the Graduate Experience at UMB

Welcome to GSA!

The Graduate Student Association (GSA) meets monthly with representatives from each of the UMB School of Graduate Studies programs.

Our goal is to advance the needs of graduate students across all disciplines and departments. GSA collaborates with campus-wide organizations to enhance graduate opportunities and address student concerns. We host the annual Graduate Research Conference (in-person and virtual), administer achievement awards and funding to individuals and groups, and host networking/social events.

Monthly Meetings

GSA holds our General Monthly Meetings from 5-6pm on the first Wednesday of each month from August through June to address events, funding opportunities, student concerns, and more.

Meetings are open to all students, regardless of whether or not they are a program representative. If you are interested in attending GSA meetings, please email the Secretary at umb.gsa.sec@gmail.com to be added to the email list.

Funding Opportunities

GSA provides various funding opportunities to UMB graduate students and student groups in order to facilitate student success.

Awards

GSA supports and celebrates graduate students by offering a variety of awards throughout the year. These awards recognize students’ academic achievements, leadership, and research. Through these opportunities, GSA highlights graduate student excellence and encourages continued growth and engagement.
