GSA Supported Groups

The GSA supports those student groups who enrich the lives of all graduate students at UMB both publicly and financially.

Current Supported Groups include:

The Meyerhoff Graduate Fellows Program

Funded by an NIH MBRS-IMSD (Initiative for Maximizing Student Development) grant, Meyerhoff Graduate Fellows are supported while receiving their Ph.D. through one of the affiliated programs listed below. Prospective students must first be accepted into the appropriate graduate program at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) or a participating program in the Graduate Program in Life Science (GPILS) at the  University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) before becoming eligible for the Meyerhoff Graduate Fellows Program.

The Neuroscience Outreach and Volunteer Association (NOVA)

"Our mission is to foster civic responsibility within the Neuroscience community through outreach activities organized by faculty, staff and students.  Through these activities we hope to establish the University of Maryland Neuroscience community as a strong presence in the Baltimore area, promote brain awareness and enrich our communities."
