Updated COVID-19 Vaccination Information
It’s an exciting time on campus as researchers have begun to receive the first and second doses of their COVID-19 vaccines at UMB! If you haven’t already, be sure to fill out UMB’s Vaccine Registration Form for Employees and Students (https://cf.umaryland.edu/vaccine-prioritization/). This will allow you to receive a link to make your vaccine appointment when you are eligible. Note that this is a new form was released in early February, so if you had filled out the old form previously and have not yet received an opportunity to sign up for a vaccine appointment, you should fill out this new form! You can also register to receive the vaccine at other, off-campus locations throughout Maryland.
If you have received the vaccine (from any location, not just at UMB!) and have not yet reported it to the University, there are two ways to do this:
- If you complete the daily SAFE on Campus symptom monitoring form, you’ll notice there’s a questions asking if you have received either dose of the vaccine. Note that you only need to answer this question *once* with each new update to your status! In other words, you may answer “no” once, then answer “yes” at a later date should you receive the first dose of the vaccine, then answer “yes” once more for your second dose. If you’ve already responded to this question, then you’re good to go!
- If you do not fill out the daily SAFE on Campus symptom monitoring form, you can report that your vaccination status here.
Reporting your vaccination status allows UMB to better track how many of its students and employees have been vaccinated—this is crucial in helping UMB make informed decisions about continued preventative measures to combat the spread of COVID-19.
Here are some FAQs regarding the vaccine, including information about side effects, vaccine distribution and more. You can also check out this website to read more about Maryland’s vaccine priority groups.
Make sure you still wear a mask and continue to practice social distancing even after receiving your vaccine!
