COVID-19 Work From Home Support Awards
This award allows graduate students to complete doctoral dissertation work while working from home during this COVID-19 crisis.
The purpose of this award is to aid students who otherwise would be unable to successfully work from home due to lack of equipment and or software.
The maximum award is $200. The award is for items deemed essential for successfully working from home (software you would normally have access to in your lab, monitors, printers, webcam, wifi boosters, wifi hotspots etc). If there is another item that you deem necessary under this award, please contact GSA to inquire if it is covered. This award will cover WFH items purchased after October 15, 2020 accompanied by a dated receipt. It is not for use for salaries, travel costs, or anything that falls out of the realm of essential for the student to whom the grant is awarded.
The application must be completely filled out and signed by the appropriate authorities, including the program’s GSA representative and PI. Any incomplete or unsigned applications will not be considered. Since the award is intended to support students who require WFH materials, a letter of support from the PI and a quote or link to the item to be purchased are required. The GSA reserves the right to award fellowships as it deems necessary. All decisions are final.
