Students will select one of four pathways to complete the Health Science graduate certificate:
Aging and Applied Thanatology ▾
Student will develop the advanced and practical skills needed to provide compassionate care to those dealing with dying, death, and grief - all fundamental and significant aspects of the human experience. Advanced and practical training can enhance individuals’ comfort level, competence, and confidence in both professional and personal contexts.
Global Health Systems and Services ▾
Students will build upon their domestic health skills and provide instruction in the different health managerial skills and national health delivery systems needs to operate in the global arena.
Integrative Health and Wellness ▾
Designed specifically for busy professionals seeking to develop fluency in integrative health and a holistic approach to their clinical practices, our evidence-based Integrative Health and Wellness online certificate program is taught by expert researchers and clinicians in the field. Science Communication ▾
Students interested in Science Communication will have the opportunity to strengthen their skills as writers by taking courses in technical writing, writing for scholarly journals, proposal and grant writing, and writing for the public. As scholars in the healthcare industry, it is important to understand how to write to appeal to different audiences using various forms and styles of writing. At the end of the program, students will be able to strategically plan, craft, edit, and execute their writing to communicate in an engaging, scientifically-informed manner about their research and other health-related topics.
