Light City is coming back to Baltimore! After a successful first year in 2016, the Light City festival of lights, music and innovation will be taking place again in the upcoming weeks. The event features more than 58 world class light displays, sculptures and interactive technologies including the BGE Light Art Walk along the Inner Harbor. Original artworks by local, regional, national and international artists be featured as well as a full schedule of free music artists.
Neighborhood Lights: Eight neighborhoods outside of the city have been selected to extend the artists-in-residency program beyond the Inner Harbor. The eight featured neighborhoods include:
2) Little Italy
4) Lake Montebello
5) Station North
6) Greater Mondawmin
Innovation Conferences: New this year are six innovation conferences dedicated to social change including:
1) Health Lab- Monday, April 3
2) Green Lab- Tuesday, April 4
3) Edu Lab- Wednesday, April 5
4) Social Lab- Thursday, April 6
5) Design Lab- Friday, April 7 (Today! Don't miss it!)
6) Food Lab- Saturday, April 8 (One more day! Don't miss it!)
Sessions for innovation labs will be interactive and hands on with New York Times best-selling authors and Pulitzer prize winning scientists.
